Suspected Costhorpe fuel thieves arrested
Three suspected fuel thieves were arrested at a building site in Costhorpe.
Police were called to the site on Doncaster Road after three intruders were reported to be siphoning diesel from diggers at 4.15am on October 28.
Response officers gained access to the site and soon detained multiple suspects.
Three men, aged 41, 37 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of theft and going equipped.
Insp Gavin Berry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This was an excellent response from Worksop officers, who had three suspects in cuffs within half an hour.
"Fuel theft is a significant issue in our rural communities and is something we take extremely seriously.
"So, if you see anyone acting suspiciously in and around building sites and plant machinery, please do not hesitate to dial 999."
