Nearly-new sale gives Worksop parents a helping hand

Worksop parents picked up some useful bargains for their children earlier this month

Worksop's recent nearly-new sale has highlighted a useful option for families looking to make children's essentials go further.

NCT Bassetlaw held its Nearly New Sale at North Notts Arena earlier this month, with clothing, toys, books and baby equipment among the categories advertised.

For parents who missed it, Kidora, a UK-only parent-to-parent marketplace, offers another way to browse new, unused and preloved children's belongings from home.

A nearly-new sale is a practical reminder that many things children need have a much longer life than the short time one family uses them.

Kidora focuses specifically on baby and children's goods, including clothing, shoes, toys, books, prams and nursery essentials. Parents can browse what other UK parents are offering and choose from the collection or InPost delivery options available for a particular listing and destination.

The NCT event was independently organised and is not connected with Kidora. But both reflect a simple idea: before automatically replacing an outgrown child's item with something new from a shop, it is worth seeing whether another family already has what is needed.

For anyone planning the next growth spurt, nursery purchase or Christmas present, browsing early gives more time to compare suitable options without rushing.
