Man's sudden death sparks police investigation in Bassetlaw village

A police investigation has been launched following the ‘sudden death’ of a man in a village near Worksop.

Responders had tried to resuscitate the man in his 40s, who was found at an address in Carlton-in-Lindrick yesterday afternoon

Detective Inspector Luke Waller, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Officers were called to an address in Knaton Road, Carlton in Lindrick, at 1.38pm on Wednesday (October 21) following reports of a man's sudden death.

"Despite the best efforts of responders, the man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

"A cordon currently remains in place around the address whilst our investigation continues; however, the death is not believed to be suspicious at this stage."
