Do you play any sport? I played from the age of 10 for Maltby Juniors, until I was 16. I play cricket for Maltby Miners and I’m a bowler.

Any favourite memories as a player? Just getting picked was good enough, but we did win promotion.

Who do you coach? Maltby Juniors Under 7s, and I’ll be moving up to Under 8s with them next season.

When did you take up coaching? This season I got involved because the Under 7s manager is a friend of mine. I’ve got my level one badges and I’m looking to take my level two soon.

Who is your sporting hero? Alan Shearer, he’s an all round professional.

What are your team like? They’re pretty good. They’ve done fantastically well this year, they’ve won quite a few games.

Why do you enjoy coaching? I like seeing the effort I put in translate onto the pitch in the players’ performances on a Sunday.
