Two Notts PCSOs arrested over ‘misconduct’

Two Notts Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) have been arrested in connection with sexual offences and misconduct in a public office.

The force announced that a 28-year-old man was taken into custody on Thursday 28th February and questioned on suspicion of rape and misconduct in a public office.

The alleged offences are said to have taken place several years ago and were reported to Notts Police on Wednesday 27 February.

A second officer, aged 45, was arrested yesterday, Friday 1st Marc, He also faces accusations of misconduct in a public office.

Both men were later released on bail, pending further enquiries.

A spokesman for Notts Police said the force had also referred the matter to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
