Eion Mulcaire admitted being in possession of the class B drug when he appeared at Worksop Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

The court heard that the 24-year-old was told police he had the cannabis in his coat pocket when he was being searched at Mansfield Police Station on an unrelated matter.

It was a very small amount, worth around £10 said prosecutor Ruth Snowdin.

Magistrates were told the cannabis were for his own use.

Mulcaire, of Claters Close, Retford, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £25 victim surcharge.
