Clowne: Police appeal for witnesses after cat is shot

Police in Chesterfield are appealing for witnesses after a cat was shot by an air weapon in Clowne.

Officers were called to Slaley Lane, Clowne following reports that a cat had been shot by what is believed to have been an air rifle.

The incident happened at around 4.25pm on Thursday 20th November.

Police are looking to trace a man who was seen in the area around the time of the incident. He is described as white, around 6ft tall and of big build. He wore camouflage clothing, including a camo hat and spoke with a deep voice.

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen a man matching the description above, or may have information relating to the attack, to get in touch.
