Worksop: Enter the fantasy world of Sinopia at The Crossing

The soaring voices of female trio Sinopia will resound at The Crossing in Worksop this month when they perform a programme of music inspired by stories of myths, fairy tales, magic and wizards.

Members Phillipa Thomas, a prize-winning mezzo-soprano, and soprano Marianne Wright met as young teens in the famous Cantamus Girls’ Choir.

They formed Sinopia, so called to reflect the colour of the girls’ hair.

Soprano Kirsten Barker joined them later whilst at the Birmingham Conservatoire.

Joining them in Worksop will be James Williams, who switched from piano to singing at Trinity College, London and the Royal Academy of Music.

Their Worksop concert is on 14th March at 7.30pm.
