Next Thursday (30th October) and Saturday (1st November) sees National Theatre Live’s thrilling broadcast of Frankenstein, directed by Oscar winner Danny Boyle.

Frankenstein stars Sherlock’s Benedict Cumberbatch and Trainspotting’s Jonny Lee Miller alternating roles as Victor Frankenstein and his creation.

On the Thursday, Miller plays Victor Frankenstein and Cumberbatch the creature, with the roles reversed for the Saturday showing.

Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker.

Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the friendless creature, increasingly desperate and vengeful, determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal.

Urgent concerns of scientific responsibility, parental neglect, cognitive development and the nature of good and evil are embedded within this thrilling and deeply disturbing classic gothic tale.

Both showings start at 7pm and tickets are £12 (£10 concessions).

Meanwhile next Friday (31st October), there is a double dose of movies in keeping with the Halloween theme.

At 2pm, Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez are among those providing the voices in Hotel Transylvania.

There will be prizes for the child in the best and spookiest costume.

Then at 7.30pm, Courtney Cox and David Arquette star in Scream.

Tickets for both films are £5 (£4 concessions) and all tickets are available on 01427 676655 or www.microsites.lincolnshire.gov.uk/tac
