Road Runners in action at trio of events

David Leese was the first Road Runner home in the fourth Trunce race, held in Penistone.

Two of the club’s ladies ran the gruelling off road race and produced good times in their first attempt at a difficult course.

Louise Lowe ran the new weekly Rother Valley 5km Park Run and was the second female to cross the finish line.

Her time was 20.38.

Another group of Clowne road runners competed in the Chesterfield “No Walk In The Park 5km” event.

The UK Athletics 2013 UK Rankings shows two of Clowne Road Runners making the top three in the ‘Vets 40’ category.

Gareth Lowe is currently placed third in the marathon rankings, while club coach Andy Ward is second in the 10km rankings.
