Four wins for Tom in round 3

The third round of the Sports Centre League saw Retford take on teams from Mansfield, Worksop, CaBSc, Newark and Sherwood.

After two rounds Retford were lying in joint second place with local rivals Worksop, behind a strong Sherwood team.

Tom Atkinson got Retford off to a great start with a win in the boys 15/u 100m IM in a time of 1:05.44.

Atkinson then added Retford’s other win in the first half, in the boys 15/u 50m Butterfly, (29.10).

Retford claimed an impressive five wins in the second half, two more from Atkinson in the 15/u 100m Backstroke (1:04.75) and 15/u 100m Freestyle (57.38).

Emma Davies touched first in the girls 13/u IM in an notable personal best time of 1:12.02 and the 13/u 100m Freestyle (1:03.77).

The boys 11/13 yrs Medley relay team of Samuel Templeton, Jack Randell, Liam Marshall and Dan Atkinson claimed the final victory of the evening.

The final points of the evening as: 1st Sherwood 219; 2nd Worksop 191; 3rd Retford 176; 4th Mansfield 152; 5th Newark 110; 6th CABsc 95.
