Under 19s stage a dramatic fightback to share the spoils

Worksop Town’s Under 19s staged a magnificent fightback to recover from 4-1 down to earn a 4-4 draw.

A hat-trick from Josh Sweetnam and a Tom Elliott strike stunned hosst Hallam FC, who appeared to have the game won.

Hallam took the lead after three minutes, but Tigers levelled as Sweetnam fired home.

Hallam took full control, and on 85 minutes were 4-1 up.

But Sweetnam lobbed the keeper for number two, and slotted home his hat-trick goal with a minute left.

As the game entered the 90th minute Elliott’s superb strike secured a draw for Tigers.

On Thursday 14th Tigers host Arnold Town, and on Tuesday visit Handsworth FC.
