Trinity on top but the ‘Gers still pushing

GAINSBOROUGH Trinity U10s are hanging on to the top spot in the Kerry Gainsborough Youth Football League League but are being pushed all the way by Forrest Rangers.

Rangers, just three points back, beat Blyth 5-0 thanks to goals from A. Bull (2), O. Foster (2) and M. Taylor.

Blyton and Misterton drew 2-2 at Blyton, J. Wardle and B. Jenkinson on target for Blyton, M. Bull and A. Duffner replying.

The Marshalls Juniors and Marshalls Sports derby saw the latter win 3-1, K. Morton on target.

In the U9s League Marshalls and Gainsborough Trinity shared a 3-3 draw, while the Forrest Rangers and Babworth game saw Babworth winning 3-2.

In the U8s Gainsborough Trinity had a 3-0 home win over Babworth with goals from H. Burgess (2) and C. Phipps.

Retford Blacks beat Blyth 6-1 but Blyth.

Walesby made the long journey to Blyton worthwhile with a 2-0 win.
