Parry rues missed chances as Worksop Town slip to fourth straight defeat
Frustrated boss Craig Parry was left to rue missed chances following Worksop Town’s 1-0 defeat at home to Oxford City.
Scott Pollock’s goal just before the hour proved to be the difference as the Tigers slipped to a fourth consecutive defeat.

It was a loss that Parry felt could have been very different had his side taken their chances.
“I can't fault the effort or anything the players have done,” said Parry. “We played well in the first half but we simply didn't take our chances in the first half. We had the wind in our favour, but we didn't make it count.
“If we had gone in at half-time ahead it would have been a different game. In the second half we switched off and they took their chance.
“There was nothing in the game overall and I can't fault the players, they gave everything they could. We have got to luck our wounds and move on.”
Kian Harrat blazed over from close-range before Liam Waldock hit the post for Town on 16 minutes.
Despite being under pressure, Oxford almost took the lead when Pollock broke free outside the area, but his shot was too high.
Worksop came close to an opener again later when Whitman-Brown fizzed a cross along the face of goal just out of reach of Harratt.
Jonathan Maxted saved from Waldock on 35 minutes as Worksop kept up the pressure.
The visitors took the lead on 57 minutes when Pollock tapped home after Tyrone Marsh’s initial shot had been saved.
Oxford were reduced to ten men in the 65th minute when Marsh applied pressure to Dearnley and fouled him when attempting to block a clearance.
Despite being a man down, Oxford were still able to create more chances with Pollock hitting the post from outside the box in the 72nd minute.
Worksop attempted to grab a leveller for the rest of the game, but Oxford’s defence stood firm.
