From playing in front of over 900 at home to Belper, to crashing out of the FA Trophy in a seven-goal thriller, 14th October has been both kind and cruel to Tigers.
In 1972 they hosted Belper, and drew 1-1 in front of a crowd of 904, Wayne Beswick scoring for Worksop.
That year was a successful one for Worksop who win the league title.
Long Eaton were the opponents in 1978, and Worksop were 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Holder and Flynn.
Irlam beat Worksop 3-0 in 1989, and two years later Worksop ran out 2-0 victors at Rossendale – ‘King’ Kenny Clark and Paul Mainwaring the goalscorers.
That FA Trophy game came in 1995, when Worksop went down 4-3 at Curzon.
Clark was again on target, alongside local favourites Lee Howard and Tony Morris.
Droylsden were 1-0 winners against Tigers in 1997, and in 2000 it was Colwyn Bay who beat them, 3-2 - Kirk Jackson scoring both for Worksop.
In 2003 they went down 3-1 at Hucknall, a crowd of 817 watching as Simeon Bambrook hit the net for Tigers.
And in 2006 Worksop beat Hyde United 3-1 thanks to Ant Jackson, Ben Swales and Jamie Harwood.
