Manager Craig Parry described it as a ‘perfect performance’ from his side, who didn’t allow King’s Lynn a single shot on target throughout the match.

A brace from Oli Greaves helped Worksop Town stretch their unbeaten run to five in all competitions with their latest league win. Jordan Cropper, Andrew Boyce and Ben Hatton also got on the score-sheet to see out the emphatic result.

After the match, Parry praised the standard of his entire team and said he couldn’t pick out single performances due to the efforts across the board.

“It was a perfect performance, by far our best performance all year. We’ve shown good signs over the last couple of weeks but today, everything just came together,” the Tigers boss told club media after the match.

“We looked at the data after the game and we’ve taken a strong opposition in great form – there’s no doubt they will be in the mix of things at the top of the league – to no shots on target. You can see there’s a good spirit, we’ve got a good group and there were top performances, too many to single out. I thought we were top notch as a team from start to finish.”

While the Tigers enjoyed their statement home win, Parry has stressed these performances need to be backed up if they want climb the table and ‘achieve magical things this year’.

“This is probably the toughest league in the English pyramid. It’s so hard, there are so many strong sides and full-time teams. If we want to develop into an established side at this level and try to do something that’s extraordinary, we’ve got to put in back-to-back performances.”
