Clubs are being linked with a number of potential new signings as managers look to strengthen ahead of the window re-opening next month.

And there’s plenty of transfer talk ahead of an interesting festive period for Championship teams.

Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff City and Bournemouth are among the teams interested in signing Leeds United’s former Sunderland and Arsenal youngster Sam Greenwood on loan. (Wales Online)

Preston North End defender Darnell Fisher would like to see the contract situation at the club resolved. Fisher, whose contract expires in the summer, was recently handed a three-game ban by the FA. (Various)

Three teams have expressed an interest in taking Manchester United outcast Phil Jones on loan come the January transfer window, including Wayne Rooney’s Derby County. Burnley, West Brom, Newcastle United and Middlesbrough have also been linked with a move for the England international. (Metro)

Huddersfield Town are reportedly in negotiations over a loan deal for Flamengo's Lincoln, according to reports in the Brazilian media. It is claimed that the two clubs are in talks over an initial 18-month loan with an option to buy. (O Dia)

Reports yesterday suggested that Barnsley had struck a deal for Forest Green Rovers man Liam Kitching. However, whilst the Tykes are interested in the centre-back, the deal isn’t done. (Barnsley Chronicle)
