The ASBO prevents him from entering or remaining in specific areas of Worksop town cntre, to be in possession of an unsealed container of alcohol, from begging and from associating with known individuals in a public place.

The full order was granted on 16th June after Morris, of Watson Road, had twice breached an interim order.

The ASBO will rremain in place until 15th June, 2016.

Should Morris breach any part of these orders he will be committing a criminal offence and may be fined or sent to prison for up to five years.

Simon Greaves, leader of Bassetlaw Council said: “Bassetlaw Council and its partners are committed to tackling anti-social behaviour in our communities.”

“We will do everything within our power to ensure that Bassetlaw residents and businesses are not harassed or intimidated by a small minority of individuals for their own selfish ends.”

Gerald Connor, community safety co-ordinator at Bassetlaw Council, added: “There are now powers in place to prevent Matthew Morris from causing distress to residents and businesses.”

“I hope that results like this shows that we are serious about tackling ASB and gives people the confidence to come forward in the future and report problems.”

The breach of an ASBO is a criminal offence and anyone who sees, or is made aware, that Matthew Morris has breached his ASBO, should call 101 and report it to the police.
