Worksop: Help for Heroes riders on TV this weekend

Four Worksop cyclists will descend upon London at the weekend to help raise £1.5 million for wounded servicemen, women and veterans.

Tony Eaton, Ian Campbell, John McCarthy and Jonathon McCarthy are taking part in the Hero Ride on Sunday 8th June, which will be broadcasted on TV.

The ride is now in its 7th year, will start in Brussels and finish in London via Paris.

To mark the World War One Centenary, the route will follow much of the Western Front.

There will be over 100 wounded, injured and sick service personnel taking part in the ride through central London from Blackheath which finishes at Horse Guards Parade.

Tony, regional co-ordinator for Help for Heroes, said: “I am taking part in the Hero Bike ride again this year so please help me raise a lot of money to support our wounded, injured and sick heroes.”

“I will be grateful for your support and look out for us on TV on Sunday.”
