Worksop: Friends to drive to Benidorm in ‘old banger’ for Alzheimer’s Society

A group of friends are set to drive from Worksop to Benidorm in an ‘old banger’ to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.

Heather Scotthorne, of Worksop, Craig Pond of Gateford and Stephen Bates and Kerry jackson of Aston, are taking part in ‘Benidorm or Bust’ from 6th-9th May.

They will be setting off on Wednesday in a Vauxhall Astra and will drive around 1,400 miles.

Craig said: “The rules are simple, you buy a banger for less than £300 and hope and pray you make it there.”

“There are 200 cars in total taking part.”
