Worksop: Brave Liam Buckley vows to keep on raising money for Weston Park Hospital despite being told he has terminal bowel cancer

Liam Buckley, 22, from Worksop, was diagnosed with bowel cancer in July of this year.

He recently received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to his liver and lung.

On Saturday 22nd November, the Buckley family are inviting people in Worksop to join them in showing off their wackiest hats or hair styles before enjoying food and drinks at North Notts Community Arena.

The ticketed event will start at 7pm and last until 12.30am, and includes entertainment, a buffet, disco and raffle

Liam is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Weston Park Hospital, Sheffield and despite his prognosis, has vowed to do what he can to support the hospital’s dedicated charity.

Liam said:“Despite a difficult few months it’s great that I am able to help raise money for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.”

“The cancer charity help to continually improve the facilities at Weston Park Hospital, including the dedicated teenage unit, where I’m receiving my treatment in a modern environment which accommodates for young adults fighting cancer.”

“The Wacky Hat and Hair Party will be a chance for family, friends and people from the community to come together and make a real difference to thousands of cancer patients across our region.”
