Woman freed by firefighters after Whitwell Common crash
A woman had to be freed from her car by firefighters after a crash at Whitwell Common yesterday (Tuesday).
Crews from Staveley and Aston Park attended the crash on the A619 at 2.45pm.
They found a car had been in collision with a van and the female driver was trapped by the damage to the car.
The woman was freed and taken to hospital by road ambulance.
Crews left the scene at 3.30pm.
