Alan Jenkinson, affectionately known as ‘Boo Boo’ the ice-cream man around Worksop, sadly died in March.

Kimberley Petty, who co-organised the event with her friend Katie Hancock, said: “He made sure every child in the area was happy - they could turn up with 10p and still get an ice-cream.”

Alan’s wife Carol attended the ceremony and released a balloon in memory of her husband.
