Thirty-four in school leagues

Gringley and Mattersey were the first schools off the mark with their league fixtures, Gringley claiming a comfortable victory.

Thirty-four schools are offering organised league football for their boys this season:

Division Four: Misterton Ranskill Harworth Leverton St Joseph’s.

Division Five: Blyth Clarborough Gamston East Markham Haggonfields.

Division Six: St Patrick’s Beckingham Sutton-cum-Lound Misson Everton.

Division Seven: Ranby North Wheatley Gringley Mattersey Sturton-le-Steeple.

Bassetlaw Boys continue their trials for this season with the following boys among those nominated by their schools: Thomas Bradley, Daniel Scott (Sir Edmund Hillary); Billy Simkins, Caden Burton (Leverton); Harvey Rogers (Carr Hill); Louis Longden (Whitwell); Jacob Reynolds (Prospect Hill); Macauley Cole, Corrie Cole, Malachi Bradford (Ryton Park); Kyle Stanfield, Andrew Agnew (Redlands), James Mallender, Owen Law, Adam Turner, Jaden Thackery (St John’s).

The trial will be held at Ryton Park School tomorrow (Friday 20th September), at 4pm prompt.
