A Coronation Street star has been announced as the first celebrity judge for the tenth, and final, Worksop’s Got Talent.

Kyran Bowes, who has portrayed Jack Webster on Coronation Street since 2016, will be swapping the cobbles for North Notts Arena, as he joins an all-star celebrity judging panel for Worksop’s Got Talent: The Finale.

The event, which is taking place on Friday, November 6 at North Notts Arena, will be a very special night for Worksop as the popular event celebrates its 10th anniversary and comes to an end in spectacular style.

“He is a brilliant addition to what is already shaping up to be an incredible night, and I know that our audience will be thrilled to see him in Worksop.

“After 10 years, I want the finale to be bigger, more exciting and more memorable than anything that we've ever done before.

“We can't wait to reveal the rest of our celebrity judging panel and, of course, see the amazing finalists take to the stage one last time.”

Kyran Bowes said: “I’m so excited to take my seat on the judging panel for the last ever Worksop’s Got Talent. I’ve heard so much about this prestigious event and it’s such an honour to be a part of its final event.”

Worksop’s Got Talent has become one of the region’s biggest annual events. Since launching in 2016, it has raised more than £185,000 for charity, while giving talented performers from across the area the opportunity to take to the stage in front of a sell out audience.

High-profile celebrities have supported the event in the past, both in person and virtually, with the likes of Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan, James Corden, Kym Marsh and Boris Johnson previously lending their support.

This year’s finale will bring together 700 members of the local community for one final celebration of outstanding talent and the show will feature an incredible line-up of varied, local performers competing for the coveted Worksop’s Got Talent title, alongside celebrity judges and plenty of special surprises throughout the evening.

Due to it being the last ever event, tickets are selling faster than ever and can be purchased via ticketsource.co.uk/worksopsgottalent.
