Notts: Annual young people’s awards help nominees on the road to future success
Nominations are coming in from dozens of people across the county for the 2015 4Uth Awards on Friday 23rd October, which is being organised by Notts County Council.
The awards are a celebration of excellence and achievement among the young people of Notts including those who have triumphed over adversity, those who care for people around them, and those working hard within their community to make a difference.

Notts County Council leader Councillor Alan Rhodes said: “The 4Uth awards provide a wonderful opportunity to promote and celebrate our young people in Notts.”
“Every year we are amazed by the stories we hear through these awards of courage, personal achievement and selflessness. To be nominated is great for a young person’s CV as it highlights their achievements have been formally recognised.”
“ Many young people are not aware what they are doing is particularly outstanding or special, so it is also empowering for them to know that their efforts are being noticed and appreciated.”
Coun Rhodes and Councillor Liz Plant, committee vice-chairman for Children and Young People’s Services , will be on this year’s judging panel with past 4Uth award winners and representatives from a number of organisations.

Coun Plant said: “We have once again been very impressed by the high standard of entries so far. There are just a few more weeks for people to nominate a young person achieving great things in their community.”
