Misterton: Sid and Sylvia raise festive funds for Five Villages Responders

Two kind-hearted Misterton residents raised money for the local Five Villages First Responder (FVFR) team by lighting up their home with hundreds of festive lights over the Christmas period.

Sid and Sylvia Burgess of Grove Park decorate the outside of their home and front garden every year and collect donations for a nominated local charity or group.

Again this year they choose to donate the proceeds, £351.50, to the voluntary Five Villages First Responder group.

Sid was recognised last year by Misterton Parish Council for his charity work and was presented with the Citizen of the Year award.
