Great day for young dance stars

Dancers from the Everett-Fox School of Dance in Misterton had a fine day at the Gainsborough Stage Dance Festival.

Ivy Barron, Tilly Snell, Megan Needham, and Darcey Taylor won the juvenile cabaret trio/quartet category for ages six to eight years-old.

And, in her first-ever competition, six year-old Chloe Merriman (pictured) was third in the classical dance class for ages five to six.

The event was particular triumph for Megan Needham, who has been coping with her parents’ ill health over the past five months.

She and her co-dancers in the quartet are now working towards performing at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London next April.

Megan’s parents added their thanks to school principals Tracey Everett-Fox and Lauren Riley for making their daughter’s dreams possible.
