GENERAL ELECTION 2015: John Mann says Labour had ample warning of looming election disaster

Labour’s John Mann has taken to Twitter to criticise the party’s leadership for not listening to the electorate.

With Labour now expected to make few gains in England and lose most, if not all, seats in Scotland, Mr Mann says the party should not be surprised.

He tweeted: “Can’t say that Labour leadership weren’t warned repeatedly - those who even bothered to meet that is. Never hurts to listen.”

The Bassetlaw election is expected to be announced some time after 3.30am.
