And we have teamed up with the owners to give children a free session of play at the venue with passes for two.

“Children are normally £4.25 each so this offer is worth nearly £9,” said Sally Roberts, who founded Captain Jack’s six years ago with her husband Steven.

“Under-ones are free at our venue and adults come in free too.”

Sally and Steven started Captain Jack’s because they felt there was a need for a local place where children could go and play safely.

And the hugely positive response they have had to the venture has seen Captain Jack’s grow into a major success story.

“We have had a lot of positive feedback with our customer service and the reputation we have for decent food always scoring highly,” continued Sally.

“We always go the extra mile, we have our entertainments in house and we can cater for so many events from children’s parties to play days and group visits and we always make sure everyone has a safe and happy time.”

“We have a big area for over fours, we have a small soft area for toddlers and baby care and we have a sensory room for babies and children with disabilities.”

“Our Halloween Ball will be our next major event and then before you know it, we’ll be into the Christmas run with parties and Father Christmas visiting.”

“We certainly enjoy being part of the community and we work a lot with local businesses and companies to support local events too.”

“This Saturday (23rd August), for example, we will be supporting Coun Ian Campbell in his Help for Heroes event and we always like to support things like that.”
