All the team players were employed by T.W. Broadbents, who were the main electrical contractors for Cottam Power Station while it was under construction in the 1960’s and 1970’s near Retford.

Tony lived there between 1966 and 1969.

Mr Crowther was an electrician at the company from 1960 until 1985 when it closed down.

The teams Tony went on to play for included Central Lads Brunswick Club U16s and U18s in the early 1960s, TW Broadbent FC from 1963 to 1980 and on January 5 that year he broke his leg in a game against Huddersfield YMCA.

TW Broadbent folded at the end of the 1979/80 season and Tony switched to Electro United in the Sunday league and rounded off his career with Field Head FC in the Sunday league in 1985 when he hung up his boots for good.

Mr Crowther would love to hear from anyone who can name the rest of the team or anyone who has any further information. His telephone number is 07837 642713.
