Crime boss visits Gainsborough

Lincolnshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Hardwick will be in Gainsborough this week to listen to the concerns and needs of local people.

Mr Hardwick is holding a surgery at Marshalls yard between 2pm and 7pm on Wednesday afternoon.

Mr Hardwick said: “Engaging with people is important so that I can understand the needs and concerns of people in Lincolnshire, and then focus on addressing them.”

“I have a number of ways of doing this such as visiting each Neighbourhood Police Team area, and surgeries are the latest method to be launched.”

“This first event is in Gainsborough, but I intend to hold further events throughout the year at different locations in the County.”

“While a phone call is often the most convenient way to make contact, it doesn’t suit everyone, and so the surgery gives people the opportunity for members of the public to meet with me and have their say,” he added.

The first Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) were elected across England and Wales late last year.

The positions were created to secure an efficient and effective police for their area and hold chief constables to account.
