College is delighted with course
The course has been specially designed by North Notts College’s (NNC) community Involvement workers, Geoff Burgess and Beata Przebinda, for people speakers of other languages but who have good English skills.
A total of 12 people from Poland, Latvia, Slovakia and Hungary have completed the course and were recently presented with their awards by Fran Walker, from the college.

Several have already signed up for further courses at the College including literacy, numeracy and accountancy at NNC or have been successful in getting jobs as teaching assistants at local schools.
Plans are also progressing to set up a social enterprise for the learners to provide interpreter services for other non-English speakers in the community through the college and other local partners including Notts County Council, who part-funded the course.
