Clowne, Creswell and Whitwell: Time to apply for primary school places
It’s one of the busiest times of year, but Derbyshire County Council is urging Clowne, Creswell and Whitwell families to apply for their child’s primary school place this festive season if they haven’t already.
Families with children born between 1st September 2010 and 31st August 2011 need to apply now for their school place for September 2015.
Three quarters of families in Derbyshire have already applied for their place. But the rest still haven’t told us where they’d prefer their child to go.

People have until Thursday 15th January to get their forms in.
Coun Kevin Gillott, cabinet member for children and young people, said applying online was quick and easy and he urged everyone who hasn’t yet applied to do it now.I know families are incredibly busy at this time of year, but I’d remind anyone with a young child to get their application in now.”
