Brewery raises over £100k for our Heroes

RAF serviceman turned Paralympian Jon-Allan Butterworth presented a cheque to Help for Heroes at the Beehive pub in Harthill after Tetley’s raised £100,000 for the charity.

The three-time Paralympic cycling silver medallist congratulated Tetley’s and thanked people who supported the Raise a Glass campaign which helped raise £107,760 in just under five months.

Fundraisers from across the country got involved, including a group of hikers who celebrated Armed Forces Day by tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

Sales of a limited edition bottled ale, promotional packs of Tetley’s Smooth Flow and a donation of one pence from every pint of draught Tetley’s sold during August helped the campaign.

Speaking at the Beehive, Jon-Allan said: “I am so pleased that I have been able to present the cheque to Help for Heroes.”

“I’ve seen first-hand how the money raised for this charity can change people’s lives and would like to thank everyone at Tetley’s for their support.”

“Congratulations to all those who completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, their fundraising efforts really will make a difference.”
