With a lot of help, expert advice and support from local clubs and businesses, the school children have formed an after-school gardening club and with a little help from parents and teachers, have set seeds in newly built raised beds and started their own vegetable patch.

Then it was on with thewellies and waders as the pupils set up a nature pond, with newly planted trees and shrubs, creating a bug wildlife area and bug hotel, providing pond dipping and decking study areas.

The final task for the area will be establishing a weather station and storytelling arena.
