Bassetlaw: Mann celebrates success of FA scheme with Sir Trevor

Bassetlaw MP John Mann celebrates the success off the FA Skills scheme which has now reached six million participants

Mr Mann met Sir Trevor at a Skills event with a difference – on New Palace Yard at the Houses of Parliament in celebration of the programme reaching its six millionth child place.

Under the shadow of Big Ben three schools were put through their paces in challenging and fun sessions.

Sir Trevor said “We are celebrating seven years of our Skills programme and I’m hugely proud that we have been able to offer six million places so far.

“It’s great to see the success of FA Skills and its vital that programmes like these receive parliamentary support,” added Mr Mann.

“Sport is about having fun and I know there are several schools in Bassetlaw that have taken part in and benefited from the FA Skills programme.”
