Retford’s Kip McGrath Centre is now accepting entries from all children in school years 3-6 in its Rainy Days writing competition.

Despite the name, there is no theme to the competition, so the only limitations are the writer’s imagination and a 750 word maximum.

Participants may enter either one or two pieces of work to the competition, with entries from both individuals and schools accepted by the organisers.

For the lucky winners, there are two tablets, three Amazon gift cards and two £150 cheques to be claimed by their schools to aid the teaching of English.

All entries must be received by 12 noon on Monday 11th November.

Entries will then by judged by a panel appointed by the Kip McGrath centre, and winners will be informed of their success by Monday 2nd December.

All entries must be accompanied by official entry forms, and should be posted to: Kip McGrath Centre, 74A Bridgegate, DN22 7UZ, Retford.

Entry forms can be downloaded online at www.kipmcgrathretford.co.uk/competition. For further information, contact the centre in person or call 01777 948 004.
