The lunch time concerts were introduced back in 1992 to bring live music both to visitors and local people in town for work, shopping or market day.

Those initial concerts were well received, and have developed into an annual series.

Now in their 22nd year, the concerts bring together the local community to enjoy music in a beautiful setting.

The concerts take place on six Tuesdays throughout July and August, all starting at 1.05pm.

The first concert on 23rd July will see Jonathan Rider on flute and saxophone, James Fox on the piano and Jacob Rider on the saxophone.

On 30th July Peter Bull will perform Georgian music and songs in costume.

On 6th August Charles Edmondson will play the piano, with Jill Turner singing mezzo soprano and Barbara Tune on the violin.

Stephen Hopwood will play the piano on 13th August, while Silver Wood will perform music for flute and strings on 20th August.

The season will come to a close with Simon Corner playing popular organ pieces on 27th August.

All of the concerts are free of charge, with a retirement collection.
