Worksop resident Lisa Farrell took to the skies to raise £700 for the Help the Heroes recovery centre in Catterick.

Despite being ‘petrified’ of heights, brave Lisa successully tackled a 15,000ft tandem skydive in aid of the charity.

She said: “The skydive was originally bought for me as a Christmas present by my partner James who knows full well that I’m scared of heights but like to test my boundaries.

“I decided that if I was going to do it, and I would do it for a reason and raise some money for charity. As James is in the RAF, Help for Heroes seemed like the perfect choice. It was an emotional day and I’d like thank everyone involved.”

Lisa is pictured handing a £700 cheque to Tony Eaton, head fundraiser at Help for Heroes Nottinghamshire.
