With a number of businesses both locally and nationally feeling the pinch and closing their doors we wanted to shine a light on the new shops and retailers that are springing up across the region.
From clothing boutiques to new distribution centres creating hundreds of jobs in the area we have picked out some of the latest new offerings helping to boost business in the region.
5. New beginnings
Carlton House Antique centre in Carlton Road is now under new ownership. To celebrate Ben Rhodes taking over the popular shopping destination he hosted an event with TV antiques expert James Lewis from Flog It cutting the ribbon and giving valuations in return for charity donations. 6. Time for tea
Carole’s Kitchen has officially opened at the Worksop Turbine on the Shireoaks Triangle Business Park and will be run by Carole Sansom. A new, state-of-the-art tanning shop has opened in Worksop’s Celtic Retail Park. The Tanning Shop store is now open on Celtic Retail Park. Open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday 9am to 7pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm. Photo: The Tanning Shop

B&Q has officially opened its latest distribution centre, operated by GXO, employing more than 100 people and covering 430,000 sq ft in Bassetlaw. The new facility, located in Blyth, will enable B&Q to make it easier for customers to get thousands of gardening and outdoor leisure products, delivered into stores, for Click and Collect, or direct to customers’ homes.
