The new store, which opens its doors on December 11, will be an exciting addition for the community and has created 19 new jobs for local people.
In addition to providing extra jobs in the town in the lead up to Christmas, the new store, located on Nursery Road, will further contribute to the Tesco’s Bags of Help and food bank initiatives across North Anston and the surrounding area.

Since its launch in 2015, The Tesco Community Food Connection Scheme has also donated 51,911 meals to local charities in the area.
The scheme has ensured no surplus food goes to waste from Tesco stores and distribution centres.
James Morrell, manager at the new store, said: “We are extremely excited to be opening our store which has a broad range of products including fresh food and food to go.

“We have 19 new colleagues joining the team at the store who are from the local area and that local knowledge and experience will be so important.”
Any local groups that would benefit from Bags of Help funding are encouraged to apply here.
Through distribution partners, FareShare and the Trussell Trust, local groups across the country are dedicated to ensuring that the most vulnerable within our communities are supplied with essentials even if they cannot leave home.
