Parry was left disappointed by his side’s ‘no’show’ in the first half of their 1-0 home defeat to Brackley at the weekend.
DJ Campton-Sturridge’s 29th minute strike was enough to seal victory for the visitors as Worksop saw their five-game unbeaten run go up in smoke.
“We need to work on the mentality side of things and make sure we perform for the full 90 minutes,” Parry said.
“The defeat wasn't anything to do with formations and selections, or anything like that, we just went out in the first half really sloppily and didn’t start brightly.
“I can’t fault them in the second half. Their keeper has pulled off two worldies and on another day we nick one and go on and win it.
“It wasn’t meant to be, but it's simple to analyse the performance, we weren't at the races in the first half.
“We need to learn that we have to start on the front foot. We have seen the performances we can put in but we can't just expect to turn up and press a button and it's on.
“There’s no point turning up at half-time, we have to give it all for 90 minutes.”
Liam Waldock sent an early shot wide as Worksop started the game brightly.
The deadlock was broken in the 29th minute when the ball was stolen off Oliver Greaves on the half way line and a quick counter-attack saw Campton-Sturridge go round the keeper and fire home.
Ryan Viggars was denied an equaliser by a brilliant save on 55 minutes, before he saw another headed chance go begging.
Mason Bennett was denied by another good save in the closing stages on a frustrating afternoon for Worksop.
