Misterton go second

GAINSBOROUGH Trinity U10s held on to top spot in the Kerry Gainsborough Youth Football League U10s section after a 5-2 victory over a Blyth team who gave a sterling contribution to the game.

Misterton moved into second place after a fine 3-1 home win over Forrest Rangers with W. Lovatt (two) and T. Shipley their scorers with A. Clayton replying for Forrest.

In the U9s League Retford remain unbeaten after an 11-0 win over Midtown, Saxilby went down 9-0 at home to Marshalls, and Forrest Rangers won 7-0 at Blyth with goals from E. Rosslee (three), R. Hancock, J. Bole, J. Piper and A. Bull.

In the U8s League Retford United had a 2-1 home win over Ordsall Rangers, Babworth beat Midtown 10-0 and Forrest Rangers defeated Marshalls 9-0.
