Injured Ben out of Classic

Anston cycle star Ben Swift has been ruled out of the Classics series, with an injury sustained early last month.

The Team Sky rider damaged his knee on 6th February in the Mallorca Challenge, and posted a statement on his website confirming that he won’t ride in the Classics campaign.

“I have had a bit of a rough time of it of late, the knee injury that I picked up from my crash is still hanging around.”

“I think we are on the home straight now but it has been quite a challenging time.”

“It is looking like my classics season is over, frustrating but I need to be positive.”
