In-form trainer Keith Reveley boasts a healthy 25% strike rate at Catterick over the last three seasons. What’s more, he has targeted this particular race, a bumper, with specific success, saddling one winner and two placed horses from his last five runners. There could not be a more fitting candidate for today’s renewal than the well-bred five-year-old daughter of King’s Theatre. For not only did she display lots of promise on her sole previous start at Uttoxeter back in March, when she finished fourth, but also her dam, Jessica One, is a useful mare whom Reveley’s mother, Mary, trained to win several races in the 1990s, including at this track. Just to complete the family affair, Mary’s grandson, James Reveley, takes the ride today.
