Tigers have signed central midfielder Martin Ball, formerly at Grantham and Carlton, as well as left back Phil Roe from Matlock Town.

Roe is a 21-year-old defender who started his career at Sheffield United, graduating through their youth system before joining Port Vale where he made three appearances. He joined the Gladiators at the start of this season.

Ball progressed through the Carlton Town academy system to the first team, where he won the Supporters Player of the Year in the 2009/10 season.

He joined Hucknall Town at the start of the 2010/11 season before joining Grantham Town, helping them win the Evo-Stik League Division 1 South championship last season.

Clark said today: “We have some important games coming up and we need the kind of good selection problems these signings will provide.”
