Josh Hill moves to Sandy Lane from Coalville, where he played over 50 games last season, picking up a number of awards.

The 21-year-old also counts Loughborough and Ilkeston in his former clubs.

Tigers boss Mark Shaw said the youngster caught his eye as an opposing defender.

“I feel we have signed a very good player.”

“Josh played against my Sheffield FC team a couple of seasons ago and he was superb.”

“I was really impressed with his composure and that he won every header, while constantly making things difficult for our forwards.”

The manager insists Hill fits the mould for the squad he building under a new club ethos at Worksop Town.

“I believe Josh has a great future ahead of him and will fit in perfectly with how we are trying to build a young squad with players who want to be successful.”
