Craig Parry targets areas to work on after positive draw for Worksop Town against Barnsley
Worksop Town boss Craig Parry wants his side to find their bite in front of goal as they continue their build up to the new campaign.
The Tigers were held to a 1-1 friendly draw against Barnsley at the weekend after the visitors cancelled out Liam Waldock’s 63rd minute opener with five minutes to go.

But it failed to detract from a generally positive display from the hosts which left Parry pleased.
“I think the only thing we were lacking in the first half was ruthlessness,” he said.
“Their goalie has made a couple of good saves but if there is any criticism it is that we have to take our chances.
“I thought we were very good in the first half, not just the way we kept the ball but also the times that we needed to go short or play short, we did. We got in behind them and switched play well and had willing runners.
“We got sloppy in the second half and made the wrong decisions. Overall as a game it is a step in the right direction. It gives us ideas now of what we have to work on in the coming weeks.”
The first clear-cut chance for the Tigers came in the opening seven minutes of the game. A curling right-footed effort drifted just wide of the post.
Waldock also made a real positive start to the opening quarter of an hour of the game, impacting on the wing by drawing in fouls. He won a free kick in a dangerous position just on the edge of the box. Lewis Whitham stood over the free kick, but his strike hit the crossbar.
New signing Kian Harratt went down injured in the box, but the Tigers carried on playing around him. The ball fell nicely for Aleks Starcenko in the middle of the box, but the Barnsley keeper made a good save with his feet.
Around the 35-minute mark, Sam Essien slipped through the visitors' midfield with skill, and Whitman-Brown was on the end of his through ball, but his low shot was saved by the keeper.
The beginning of the second half was slow for both sides, with neither team finding their rhythm; however, the opening goal came in the 63rd minute through Waldock’s first time shot.
In the 84th minute, the visitors equalised from a cross that was flicked on, and the ball found the head of their striker at the back post.
