The last eight competition saw her drop to second place, taking home silver.
The teenager has also secured a place in the Yorkshire squad, after impressing selectors at trials.
Twin sister Katie, however, will have to wait to join Shannon at the top level, as she requires surgery to fix an ankle injury.

The recovery period before she can get back to competition fitness after the surgery is expected to be six months.

The O’Brien twins are both Apple Elite athletes, selected for a sponsorship and development programme by Apple Health andf Fitness on Bridge Place, and the Worksop Guardian.
